The story starts when Reagan calls Nick for help because she and her husband are in a fight. He tells her to come to his place, but she never shows up. When he goes to her house looking for her, he finds her husband dead in their living room and Reagan and her baby are gone. Thinking Reagan killed her husband, and trying to keep her out of trouble, Nick calls his best friend, Pete, and asks him to help hide the body. The story is about Pete’s struggle with helping his best friend as the plot twists, the police get involved, and more murders are discovered.
